Pi Network (PI), the mobile-based cryptocurrency project that has been in development for six years, is becoming the hot topic now. Following the February 12 announcement confirming that its mainnet will officially launch on February 20, excitement around the project has skyrocketed.

Now, adding more fuel to the excitement, MEXC Exchange has officially listed Pi Network (PI) in its Pre-Market—giving traders an early chance to speculate on its price before the mainnet goes live.

What is Pre-Market Trading?

Pre-Market Trading is an over-the-counter (OTC) service that allows users to buy and sell new tokens before they are officially listed on an exchange. This feature enables traders to set their preferred prices and match trades ahead of the public launch, offering a potential advantage in securing better deals.

What You Need to Know

Pre-Market Trading on MEXC: The current PI trading on MEXC involves IOUs, meaning these are not actual Pi coins but rather a way for traders to speculate on its future price.

Real Pi Coins: If you hold original Pi coins in your Pi Network wallet or have deposited them on an exchange (including MEXC), you cannot trade or sell them yet. They will only become tradable after the official mainnet launch on February 20.

Pre-Market Price is Speculative: The current price of PI in Pre-Market trading is purely speculative and based on supply and demand from traders. The actual listing price on launch day may be significantly different, so traders should be cautious.

With just one day left until the mainnet launch, all eyes are on Pi Network to see how the token will perform once fully live.
